Here are some trouble shooting tips for DiRT.
Black Screen Problem - Thanks to reppana from Codemasters for this tip!
So if you have this terrifying black screen on Dirt startup you may want to try this. Navigate to place where you installed your Dirt. Clik Codemasters (or Dirt) folder with right mouse button and press properties. Then click advanced, there is spot called "Compress or Encrypt attributes". If there is mark on "compress contents to save disk space".. take it off and press Ok, then Apply and finally run you game.
